Vielen von euch dürften schon so manche Anime unter die Fittiche geraten sein, deren Story sich zum Teil oder maßgebend mit einer nuklearen Post-Apokalypse beschäftigt oder direkt auseinandersetzt. Hierbei gibt es zum einen Anime mit historischen Tatsachen, siehe beispielsweise "Barfuß durch Hiroshima", Science-Fiction-Filme wie "Akira" oder reine Endzeit-Szenarien á la "Fist of the North Star".
Mich beschäftigt schon länger die Frage, ob man diese Thematik im Anime als eine Art Aufarbeitung der eigenen Geschichte interpretieren könnte?
Hierzu ein Zitat von "Mike Arias" (Tekkonkinkreet), welches mich auf die Idee zu diesem Thema brachte:

Jener unbekannte "Publisher", welcher schon die deutschen DVDs zu "Battle Angel Alita", "Plastic Little", "Venus Wars" und "Wings of Honneamise" unter dem Zeichen von "Manga Video" auf den Markt brachte, hat kürzlich auch die Titel "The Wind of Amnesia" und "Fist of the North Star" veröffentlicht.
Da man nach wie vor zu keiner der oben aufgelisteten Veröffentlichungen genauere Informationen im Internet vorfinden kann und sich Manga Entertainment schon vor vielen Jahren vom deutschen Anime-Markt zurückgezogen hat, gehe ich mittlerweile doch von Bootlegs aus, wenn auch von sehr gut gemachten. Damals gab es jene Titel (außer Plastic Little) nur auf VHS-Kassette über Manga Enternainment/Polyband. Beide DVDs stehen den vorherigen Veröffentlichungen in nichts nach und kommen neben der japanischen und englischen Tonspur auch mit der damaligen deutschen Synchronisation. Untertitel gibt es nur auf Englisch. Würde ich prophezeien, so folgen noch "Doomed Megalopolis", "Wicked City" (mit der alten deutschen Synchro), "Urotsukidoji II - Legend of the Demon Womb", "RG Veda" und der "Street Fighter II" Movie...

Das Cover der zukünftigen Gesamtausgabe:
Mir fiel jetzt erst auf, das kein Geringerer als "Yasuomi Umetsu" ("A Kite", "Mezzo", "Mezzo Forte") seine Finger mit im Spiel hatte bzw. sich für das Original Character Draft verantwortlich zeigte. Nun hat der Anime definitiv mein Interesse geweckt!!! <3

Laut Amazon soll "Pokémon: Meisterdetektiv Pikachu" am 10. Oktober 2019 im Handel erhältlich sein. Wahlweise auf DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray 4K UHD, Blu-ray 4k UHD Steelbook und einer speziellen Amazon-Edition.

Kann ich bestätigen, habe eben den Film gesehen.
Wie schaut das Bild aus? Merkt man eine Verbesserung des Bildes?
